Providers

NAMCI was founded in 1991 with the health and insight of local Alabama hospitals and physicians. NAMCI's dedication and service have earned the trust and support of providers all across Alabama.

Interested in becoming a Preferred Provider
Please contact the NAMCI Provider Relations Department at (800) 636-2624 or (256) 532-2755.

New Providers
New providers often join the practice of existing Preferred Providers. When this occurs, please note that any new provider does not automatically become a NAMCI provider, even though the same office location and tax identification number may be shared. All providers must meet the NAMCI credentialing criteria on an individual basis. Please notify our Provider Relations Department at (800) 636-2624 regarding the addition of new providers. A NAMCI Preferred Provider Application will be forwarded for completion.

Re-credentialing Process
Preferred Providers are subject to the NAMCI re-credentialing process every three (3) years. A NAMCI Credentialing Coordinator will contact each Preferred Provider's office with specific details.

Changes in Status
Preferred Providers should notify our Provider Relations Department at (800) 636-2624 in advance regarding changes in status. This would include but not be limited to:
• Office relocation
• Opening of a branch office
• Change in tax identification number
• Change in hospital admitting privileges
